Bio

Peter is a composer and performer producing work for stage, dance, film, documentaries and installations.

Performances and sound installations include Supernormal Festival, Fort Process, Cafe Oto, Whitstable Biennale, Parasol Unit, London, Studio 29 Vyner St, London, Alter Schmeide, Austria, Sibelius Centre, Helsinki, The Union Chapel, The Swiss Church, London and Hornsey Town Hall.

Film soundtracks include Joanna Callaghan’s exploration of Jacques Derrida’s The Post Card in ‘Love in The Post’, Derrida’s Writing & difference in ‘Do Not Read This’ & Plato’s concept of forms with ‘A Mind’s Eye’, and Emmy award winning documentary maker Francois Verster’s ‘The Dream of Shahrazad’, ‘Sea Point Days’, ‘The Mothers’ House’ and ‘When the War is Over’ and the feathure film 'Fun" directed by Rafal Zielinski.

His recording career began in 1994 as Shape Navigator on Guerilla Records and was half of Ska/Punk/dub/Spoken Word duo SaltPeter with Salena Godden.  He is also a member of the experimental improvising ensemble Automatic Writing Circle.

 

I have collaborated with Peter for 20 years. His has an intuitive sense of how to work with other artists, proven by his long standing working relationships with theatre, circus companies, spoken word artists, film and experimental music groups.

Figures in a Floating Landscape 2019/20 - 2nd part of a dance/music JMW Turner trilogy with choreographer Dora Frankel premiered at The Gulbenkian, Canterbury as part of the Turner Prize celebrations. Toured early 2020.
